A shot with David Archuleta, for the second time around. I joined the video message contest of TV5 just for fun. I wasn't actually expecting I'd win Meet and Greet passes again that time. |
Earlier before the Grand Fans Day last February 4, I was supposed to attend the concert scene(February 3) since I was all round free and I had all loads of work in my agenda finished in just a course of time. We already had the tickets and the only thing we needed to do was to go at Tanghalang Pasigueno where it will be held on the said date as instructed. Though pounding us the anticipation to become part and see how shooting scenes in a TV program(Nandito Ako) with DA would actually be like, it wasn't until when we realized the shoot will be simultaneously done with our institute class. We decided not to go and instead we chose to attend the institute the next day. I felt good about that decision. Be that as it may, we knew in the first place we should never put hold or neglect spiritual activities for other social concerns, whatever it may be.
So later that afternoon, I was packing up things and getting myself ready for the institute when I received a call from whom I didn't know with the number only appearing on screen. That wasn't just a call, it was the most unexpected and flattering one I've ever received so far in the year. I was informed as one of the luckiest winners. That made my day. :)
Right after I hung off the phone, I buried my face on a pillow and cried. I felt something special that went through me after knowing it all. I instantly thought of the experience happened as more of a learning lesson to me to be thankful for rather than a moment to boost in a frenzy or exhilarating manner of what could be like when a person won million dollars in a reality show. As what He says, "But seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you." (3 Nephi 13:33) And who knows? It could be that maybe Heavenly Father thought I deserved to have that kind of blessing because he too knew how much I am of a DA-fan, lol. Well however, there's one thing now I am really sure of -- the Lord blessed me that day. :)
